During your probationary membership (currently six months) you will pay a £7.50 range fee when shooting at Reeds' Lordswood range, £16.50 for a whole day at Bisley, £15 for clay shooting, plus the cost of your ammunition. Probationary members are invited to shoot at our Lordswood range on Thursday evenings from 7pm - 10pm.
As access to Lordswood site is controlled by access card, probationary members must ring the doorbell at the Sports and Social Club for entry to the site if the gate to the range is not open. If you are not already a member of Lordswood SSC, probationary members can attend for ONE MONTH before they will have to take up membership of Lordswood SSC. This membership fee must be funded by the probationer and paid to Lordswood, it will then be deducted from their full membership when they complete probationary membership.
Probationary membership can be reduced to three months for prospective members who already possess a firearms certificate varied for target shooting, with a reference from their existing club. This is at the discretion of the committee.
During the probationary period you will be given a course in the safe handling of firearms. We expect probationary members to attend regularly, if you are unable to do so, your probation will be extended.
Upon successful completion of the probationary period, you will be invited to take up full membership of the Club.
Full members do not pay range fees, apart from at the clay shoots, which are held at Dartford Clay Shooting Club.
